3.01. 日语Janpanese

Japanese is a language spoken mainly in the Japanese islands by the Yamato ethnic group, that is, the Japanese people, and is less used in other countries. The origin of Japanese is controversial. Although Japanese also uses Chinese characters, the mainstream view in academia does not believe that Japanese and Chinese are homologous. Compared with Chinese, Japanese is a relatively simple language from a pronunciation point of view because it has no rhotic tongue, only a high and low tone, and few main sounds (or vowels).

Japanese has only five vowels. In fact, according to the standard of AL, Japanese uses only four main sounds: a, i, e, and o. The Japanese u is actually the dual as main of w from the point of view of AL; The dividen sound used in Japanese include: b, p, d, t, g, k, z, q, s, and zʹ, qʹ, sʹ; The dual as main sounds used in Japanese include: w, n, nʹ, m, and j, l, h, n, and m as dividen. There are only 23 sound elements in total, and these sound elements are all basic sound elements.
